“Michael” Movie Poster & Japanese Trailer Unveiled, Advance Tickets Arrive April 3

The highly anticipated biopic “Michael”, telling the story of the legendary Michael Jackson, has just revealed its official poster along with a brand-new Japanese trailer. Alongside the reveal, it was also announced that advance movie tickets (both card and online) will go on sale starting April 3.

The film traces the life and artistry of the King of Pop, from his childhood breakthrough with the The Jackson 5 to his rise as the biggest entertainer on the planet. With groundbreaking music, revolutionary dance moves like the moonwalk, and record-breaking success including the iconic album Thriller, Michael Jackson became a global phenomenon. The movie explores not only his unforgettable performances but also the deeper story behind the artist, his family, his creativity, his struggles, and the passion that shaped his legacy.

Behind the project is an impressive creative team. The film is produced by Graham King, the Oscar-winning producer of Bohemian Rhapsody, and directed by Antoine Fuqua, known for Training Day and The Equalizer. The screenplay is written by John Logan, whose credits include Gladiator and The Aviator.

Taking on the challenging role of Michael is his real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson, while Juliano Krue Valdi portrays the young Michael. The cast also features Colman Domingo as Joseph Jackson and Nia Long as Katherine Jackson. Music legend Quincy Jones is portrayed by Kendrick Sampson, while Miles Teller appears as longtime Jackson attorney John Branca.

The newly revealed poster features Jaafar Jackson in full performance mode with the tagline “The legend begins.” The striking visual captures the electrifying moment when a global icon is born — a fitting first look at what promises to be one of the most talked-about music biopics in years.

Starting April 3, special advance ticket cards will also be released with a limited “Grow Up Michael 4 Change Card.” This lenticular collectible changes its design depending on the viewing angle and will be available online and at participating theaters across Japan while supplies last.

“Michael” is set for a nationwide theatrical release in Japan on June 12, 2026.

Fans can follow updates through the film’s official website and social media channels.
