A new statue celebrating Michael Jackson has been unveiled at the Colorful World theme park in Changsha, China, adding another attraction to the park’s dedicated Michael Jackson zone.
The latest installation depicts Michael Jackson as the zombie character from his legendary Thriller short film. Designed in a more cartoon-like style, the statue offers a playful interpretation of one of Michael’s most recognisable looks. What best way to unveil this statue than on Halloween!
The new Thriller statue joins two other Michael Jackson installations already located at the park: a spectacular gold HIStory-inspired statue and a huge Dangerous-inspired mural, reportedly the largest of its kind in Asia, which has become a permanent feature of the theme park.
The MJ zone at Colorful World continues to celebrate Michael’s extraordinary legacy, bringing together different eras of his career through large-scale artwork and themed attractions.
As previously reported by MJVibe, the golden HIStory-style statue was unveiled at the location with the participation of MJ legends. You can read our previous coverage here.
