Members of the cast of MJ The Musical are coming together for a special day of service in New York City.
On Thursday, September 10, MJ The Musical cast members Oyoyo Joi, Samuel Inelson, and Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. will join 9/11 Day aboard the Intrepid for a meal-packing event supporting people in need.

The event is part of 9/11 Day’s annual efforts to transform the anniversary of September 11 into a national day of service and remembrance. Volunteers will come together to pack meals for those facing hunger, with the MJ The Musical performers also scheduled to perform for volunteers during the event.
The official 9/11 Day announcement shared:
“We’re thrilled to have @mjthemusical cast members @OyoyoJoi, @samuelinelson, and @christopherseancooperjr join us Thursday, September 10 aboard the Intrepid to pack meals and perform for volunteers at our New York City Meal Pack!”
The organization is encouraging people to #UNITEFORGOOD, highlighting the idea that making the world a better place begins with taking action and helping others.
For MJ The Musical, the event offers another opportunity for members of the production to bring the spirit of Michael Jackson’s message of helping others into the community.
The September 10 meal pack will take place aboard the Intrepid in New York City, with volunteers coming together ahead of 9/11 Day on September 11.
Fans who are in New York and would like to participate can find information about volunteering through the official 9/11 Day website.

The event is a reminder that service, compassion and helping those in need can bring people together, something that fits naturally with the message behind Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror: change starts with each of us.
