Rodgers, known for her acclaimed work on films such as BlacKkKlansman and Till, described the experience of recreating Michael Jackson’s iconic fashion legacy as both emotional and inspiring. She explained how deeply she researched Michael’s different eras, studying not only his stage outfits but also the details that made his style instantly recognizable to generations of fans.
In the interview, Rodgers shared that authenticity was one of the production’s biggest priorities. Every costume had to reflect Michael’s evolution as an artist, from his early years to his worldwide superstardom.
