In previous filings, she accused the Estate of holding over $464 million in cash without placing it into higher-yield investments and distributing significant sums to law firms. Court documents referenced payments of over $4.5 million to 10 law firms in 2021, as well as $148 million in executor compensation between 2009 and 2021.
The Estate, for its part, has pushed back strongly, describing Paris’ filings as “nonsensical.” In response, the executors emphasized their role in transforming Michael Jackson’s Estate from nearly half a billion dollars in debt at the time of his passing into a multibillion-dollar enterprise over the past sixteen years.
Now, with Prince and Bigi formally aligning with Paris in this new petition, the dynamic appears to be shifting. While the extent of their involvement remains unclear, insiders suggest that the united front could increase pressure on the Estate as it navigates ongoing legal matters and financial scrutiny.
It’s important to remember that since Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009, the Estate has overseen major projects, record-breaking catalog deals, and global ventures that have significantly expanded the value of Michael’s legacy. I remember standing in front if the orginal Barbi house in the Smithzonian Musuem in Washton DC at the time of his death announcement. I was suprized and stund of this event and so were my high school kids back where i was teaching. He will always be remembered.
