Yesterday, fans got just a taste and honestly, that might be part of the plan. The official social channels for the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael teased what’s to come with a super-short 18-second clip and a tantalising message:
“In 3 months: Experience the legend, the legacy, the life. MICHAEL – in theaters and IMAX April 24th.”
The teaser barely scratches the surface, showing Jaafar Jackson in character as Michael, about to step onstage but it’s enough to send the MJ community into overdrive. Although fleeting, the new footage includes scenes we’ve already glimpsed in earlier teasers alongside brand-new bits, all capped with the caption “In 3 Months, Get Ready For Michael.”
That’s not a lot to go on, especially with the film now under three months from release, but maybe that’s the point, keep the mystique alive and bigger plans coming up. The full-length teaser dropped last November and gave us much more to chew on, with Jaafar’s striking portrayal of the King of Pop from his Jackson 5 beginnings to iconic solo moments. That earlier teaser also made history, racking up record-breaking views and proving the world is still ravenous for MJ content.
With Michael slated for April 24th in theatres and IMAX, this new micro-tease feels like a whisper more than a reveal, but for fans who’ve waited years for this biopic, every second counts. More glimpses are surely coming, and until then, the MJ world will be watching that countdown
They don’t want us to nick-pick it to death and I agree with the strategy.
I think this will be so educational to the generation that didn’t get to no him earlier in his life like some of us watching him way back before the jackson 5 came out

I’m probably gonna cry through the whole movie like I always cry when I see MJ they picked the right person to do this movie. I have been a Michael Jackson fan since I was born in 1964. Michael’s music has been the soundtrack for my life. I feel like as a life long christian and minister I can identify with Michael’s struggles especially with women. Like Michael was the hero in his songs and entertainment, I feel like I have overcome enemies and obstacles like Michael did in his music and videos in Christ. Amen.
