The zombies have risen once more! Last night, Thriller NYC took over 6th Avenue at the legendary New York Village Halloween Parade, delivering yet another show-stopping “Thriller” performance that had the crowd screaming (in the best way) and dancing along from the sidewalks.
As tradition goes, 100 dancers transformed into undead groovers, shaking, sliding, and snarling their way through Michael Jackson’s iconic choreography. And true to form, the section was one of the most anticipated moments of the parade, proving yet again why this tribute has become a New York Halloween institution.
Born in 2004, the Thriller NYC troupe has grown bigger, sharper, and louder every year, with the tradition exploding after 2009 as fans across the world paid tribute to Michael. Year after year, they bring dedication, precision, and the spirit of MJ to the streets, and 2025 was no exception, the energy was electric, the costumes were chilling, and the execution was flawless.
The coveted Michael Jackson lead role once again brought star quality to the performance, chosen through a special audition from among the dancers. And as always, the crowd roared when the spotlight hit the lead and the first notes of “Thriller” dropped.
It was fantastic as always.
