150 “Thriller” Zombies Take Over Hamburg Central Station for Halloween

Hamburg came alive with the undead this Halloween as around 150 Michael Jackson fans transformed into iconic “Thriller” zombies at Hamburg Central Station, recreating the legendary choreography from the King of Pop’s groundbreaking 1983 short film.

The flash-mob style tribute brought together dancers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, all performing the famous routine in the station’s Wandelhalle (Grand Hall). The spectacular event, organised by a dedicated MJ fan club and supported by Stage Entertainment, turned the busy travel hub into a spooky celebration of Michael’s legacy and the world’s most iconic Halloween dance.

But the fun didn’t stop there!
After the performance, the zombie crew boarded double-decker buses for a ghoulish procession to the St. Pauli Piers, where they continued their journey by ferry to the Stage Theater on the Elbe, all still in full zombie makeup and costumes. The night concluded with a group visit to “MJ the Musical”, bringing the Halloween tribute full circle as fans celebrated the brilliance of Michael Jackson’s artistry onstage.

As we shared with you back in September, fans had the chance to “Become a Zombie” and join this thrilling tribute and they certainly delivered!

Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, released in 1982 and forever cemented in pop culture history, continues to inspire dance lovers around the globe and once again proves that no Halloween celebration is complete without the King of Pop.

What a way to honor the magic, music, and movement of MJ.
