December 1 marks the World Day Against AIDS.
Every year World AIDS Day events take place across the world to raise awareness and show support for people living with HIV.
This is also the release date of the ninth and final single from DANGEROUS: “Gone too soon”. The song was dedicated to the memory of Ryan White, a teenager from Indiana who came to national attention after being expelled from his school for having HIV. Thanks to Ryan, the US congress passed a major piece of AIDS legislation, the Ryan White CARE act.
The song was released on the World Day Against AIDS in 1993 and promote awareness to the epidemic.
