Thriller: King of Halloween

Trick or Treat?

Well, last night was a treat to be honest! Especially for Michael Jackson Fans! Halloween is there to celebrate the dead and it has become a celebration of fun. Around the world people dress up and have Halloween parties and dance in weird costumes! But it is also clear that 33 years after the release of the Iconic short film “THRILLER”, the song and video have impacted not only the world of music or music video but also the world in general.

After cleaning my face of make-up, I decided to go on the world wide web and type “Halloween 2016” to see what people around the world have been doing and the common thing that keep poping up on Google or Youtube is “THRILLER”.

No matter where in the world, it seems that people just have fun having a go at the dance routine from Michael Jackson’s Thriller! From Azerbaijan to Zimbabwe, from New York to Tokyo, I haven’t seen one city in the world not doing the famous routine! I have already spend hours online (I am sure my boss doesn’t mind! Well I hope!) and I have seen already thousands of videos from all over the world featuring zombies, werewolves, momies and even a T-rex dancing to Thriller! And no matter the age either! Grand-parents to babies, all enjoy a bit of Thriller! Even an autistic little boy get his chance through a CCTV camera in the UK (It has to be my favorite this year, He is just amazing).

Also with the “Thrill The World” event which takes place every year since 2006, this really add to the mix and despite the above not counting for the Guinness World Record, the world have been singing and Dancing to THRILLER again this year (Even in the White House!).
