Every year, area children come into the Constitution-Tribune office to drop off their letters to Santa. These letters will be published in the newspaper tomorrow (Tuesday). Here are a few of the most unique items asked for this year:

Michael Jackson gloves and shoes: Though Michael Jackson is gone, it seems he has left a legacy that won’t be forgotten any time soon. One child asked Santa for Michael Jackson gloves and shoes this year. Maybe someone will catch him moonwalking up and down Washington Street.

An astronaut costume: Speaking of moonwalking, another child aspires to moonwalk as well… in a much different way though. One child asked for an astronaut costume, and maybe he’ll get his Christmas wish in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…

Rudolph: A couple children are hoping Santa will unhitch Rudolph from his sleigh and leave him in their yard. Those asking for Rudolph may be out of luck though, because who else can guide Santa’s sleigh?

Stilts: All one little Field School student wants for Christmas is to be taller than her brother. The only thing on her Christmas list was stilts, and she didn’t want to be too picky, but she asked Santa to make her stilts blue, if possible.

An adult coloring book: One child asked for an adult coloring book because it “confuses her brain.” Adult coloring books have become very popular this year as coloring is proven to help relieve stress. These coloring books include complex patterns and pictures of animals.
