Artist draws detailed illustrations of Michael Jackson alongside younger versions of himself

Colombian illustrator Fulaleo Obremor drew older and younger versions of several celebrities standing next to each other

A Colombian artist has created seven fascinating portraits of celebrities standing alongside younger versions of themselves

Illustrator Fulaleo Obremor chose Steve Jobs, Robert De Niro, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Bill Gates, Michael Jackson, Al Pacino for the series, which he titled the Me and My Other Me project.

And he put his heart and soul into all of them, telling BuzzFeed that it was ‘very draining’, adding that he spent three to four hours on each.

Fulaleo added that he picked these particular men because they are ‘brilliant people with a good story’, and would consider doing another series of famous women in the future

His favourite illustration, of Michael Jackson, shows the late King of Pop as a somewhat ageless adult with his hands on the shoulders of a childhood version of himself.

The adult Michael’s face looks to be from the ’90s, while his clothing – a gold and silver military jacket and matching sparkly glove – are from an actual costume he wore on his 1984 Victory Tour with his brothers, then performing together as The Jacksons.

The younger version of Michael is clearly from his early days in the Jackson 5, though he is wearing a red and yellow letterman jacket that he wore while promoting Thriller. That exact jacket actually sold for $187,500 at auction in 2012.
